OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Thanks Diannep - got it! That's what I

PFA=Physical Fitness Assessment

Comment by diannep on May 29, 2014 at 2:02pm

They take the PFA 3 times....however, the 3rd one they must pass in order to do BattleStations, no matter what they did on the first 2.  If they do not pass by the day their division does BattleStations, they will call you.  But...you don't want that call!  They still will get a couple of more chances after that, and if they pass, they will go through BattleStations with another division or PIR group and be at their PIR.  If they do not pass it before their own PIR, they stay in the FIT DIVISION and keep trying to pass.  Once they do, they do BattleStations and head straight to A School, no PIR once they miss their own.

Let's hope that all pass their final PFAs before PIR!  :-)

TRESSA- you have every right to be proud! Crow all you want! All these kids have become our sons and daughters in a way. We are all proud of all of them! I believe my son is friends with yours, I think they are next to each other in their racks. Last name start with B?

My SR was chosen to be in the running to "maybe"  receive an award for Military Bearings.. I am super proud, I think only 12 SR's was chosen out of all divisions. I don't want to sound snooty, I am just really super proud!

Morning Beertjes... I know it is called a PFA, not real sure the cut off on the last attempt. I would think that if they let them make it this far then maybe they will give a few more chances to pass it.
