~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Jacob94mom,

You should write and ask your SR to call your cell phones instead as he will have a better chance of getting in contact with you all.  Carry your cell phone with you everywhere with you (upstairs, downstairs, in the bathroom, out to get the mail, etc...) You will need to look out for area code "847", pay phone, or Government, when he calls, but answer all calls anyway and just say "no, thank you' if its a sales call.

anchorsaway,

Up above where the divisions for this PIR are listed, it says 931, so that should be her division~~

I got my daughters form letter yesterday, she wrote div 913 on form but her return address says 931!  She must have transposed the numbers, but I don't know which one was right!  anyone have div 913 for their son or daughter?

I haven't had a call from my son yet except the 16 second on April 15 should I be worried since a lot of people have received one today? Do they do have to take turns?

My daughter called for bank info last night but said she wasn't supposed to talk. All I got was, "i'm alive", and "yes they cut my hair". Her voice sounded positive though so it seemed like she was okay.  She said they were supposed to get their first mail last night and could call in a week or two. It sounds like you all have had your first real phone call!

My SR told me on the phone today that he has received 4 of the 10 letters I've sent. But in a random order. (I numbered my letters) he also said that's he's mailed off about 9 to me already.. But I have not gotten them yet. He's in division 198. so now you at least know that they have indeed started the receiving/sending of letters.

Lala:  My sister in law and nephew from Asheville are down here now....will be arriving at my house on Monday (up in Palm Beach right now).  I hope they are ready for some very hot weather!

Ok, just saw Kris' post below and see that some SRs have received mail already, so it looks like they have started!  Hopefully the "missing" letters will arrive there soon!
