N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

On my way to Seattle tomorrow for my flight out on Thursday a.m..  I am so excited and a nervous wreck.  At the hotel in Seattle tomorrow night, I think I will definitely be Sleepless In Seattle.  Hopefully I can sleep on the plane.  See you at the Meet and Greet!  Safe travels everyone!

Congrats to the new sailors & families!  So very exciting and surreal that our group is finally at this stage after reading the last 8 weeks of everyone else finally reaching their PIR date.  We are here ladies and it feels amazing!  We are leaving tomorrow and I look forward to seeing you all at Sarge's G & M and of course at PIR!!!! HOOYAH!!!!!!

FLANavyMom:  We understand that as long as there is room in the USO, families are allowed in.  Just depends on how crowded they are.

Congrats to the new sailors of 225/226/931!

Dianep or Ellen -  My SR said that they were told that family is not allowed in the USO area of the airport - only wives.  I told him that was wrong. I'm pretty sure I read it on this site that moms and dads are allowed, too.  AM I WRONG?

Hi Bri Guy's mom-I am pretty sure our sons were sworn in together and bunked together in Boston.  Your son was extremely kind to Joe.  I missed Joe's first call on 5/4 because I was flying.  Knowing this, your son "transferred" a call he earned to Joe so he could call me.  Very grateful to him.  A great sailor you have there!  See you on Friday.  Boston Strong and Proud!!

Congrats to everyone in Div. 931!!  I got the call, too.  My SR sounded so happy - big change from the last time I spoke with him.  Not only was he happy, but he seems really proud.  Looking forward to seeing you all at the meet and greet.

Be safe.  See you soon.

I got my I'm a Sailor call. I'm so proud of all our SR's. My son said everyone in Div 931 passed BS. He was also very proud of the fact they won Captains Cup. Congrats to all & can't wait to meet everyone at Sarge's. Take care & safe travel.
