Hi to all, Oh gosh guys, my son said, "first three days, no sleep, something happened, and it became four! " His first letter to Grandma, "I just want to fall asleep everywhere I am!" Def not a record anyone wants to break.lol. ....Lars, did you find things to do yet? Have you joined the group on FB yet? I'm sure there will be a ton more advice, support, and info too! Meeting the night before at Sarges Meet and Greet. He may be able to suggest plenty around if you explain your situation. he even has a taxi service. Have heard wonderful things about him al over this site!

Wow Star, that is crazy. I don't think that is a record anyone would want to break lol.

Good Morning everyone and Happy Saturday. Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I had to take my Mom to the Doc and then we went shopping. I needed supplies and she just needed to get out of the house :-) We finally have a new Joann Fabric Store in Asheville :-) Loving that we have a new place but man fabric just gets more and more expensive!!!  But I did find fusible vinyl. You can iron it to any fabric and make it waterproof. How cool is that?  Now I just have to figure out what to use it on lol. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend :-)

FTLW - my smartphone is always dumb when it comes to this site.  That is why its so hard to navigate and much easier on facebook - but we on facebook - ALWAYS come back here when we can!  No place like home!

Comment by Star (S-11, D-177; PIR 6-15) on May 18, 2012 at 10:44am

Dianne - YES MA"AM!  '66 to be exact' was his exact words.  He was waken from the hotel on MEPS day at 4am, I think he said............and 66 hours later - laid his head to rest!

Record? LOL   I might have to have a medal made for him.  A N4M challenge coin!  hee hee. I might just do that!

Comment by diannep on May 18, 2012 at 8:02am

Wait --Star....he was up for 66 hours?  That is almost 3 days!  Why was he up so long?  The longest we have heard of them being up is about 40+ hours, so he holds the record!

Good morning all!

CAKESYES! My "smart"phone and this site are NOT getting along and it IGNORED your friend request when I clearly wanted to accept it! Double UGH!
I am so sorry...haven't been able to get to a real computer all day.
Would you resend it please? It also won't let me send a friend request to you! {{Grrr}}

If they need to stay in uniform for liberty after PIR, does that include swimsuits? We have a pool at our Motel and I know she will want to swim and chill. Just don't know if I should bring one from home or if she needs to wear Navy issue.
