Has anyone ever seen Ellen DeGeneres' "autocorrect" text message segment at the beginning of her shows sometimes?  People send in "goofs" with auto correct.  Some of them are hysterical...some quite embarrassing!  Makes me happy that my phone is a "dinosaur" and has no auto correct!  :-)

Ugh...stupid auto correct (yeah, has nothing to do with my eyesight!)
"Lars" not Lara...my humble apologies.

"is" not "us".

Lara - Here us Sarge's number. 1-847-212-0246
I would text him first to let him know you would like to speak to him. He is very good about calling back. If for some reason you don't get a hold of him right away...try again! Remember that he runs his taxi service daily!

Call Sarge again, he is not one to ignore a phone call or message. We were just there a little over two weeks ago for PIR and I would assume he is still available. Feel free to ask questions here too, I am sure someone can answer some of them or at least point you in the right direction.

P.s. I've read a lot about "Sarge" on here and tried to message him but , no reply. I wonder if he is still available for questions and concerns. I'll be traveling to my son's PIR alone so any helping hand or advice would be such a comfort to me and my husband here at home. Anyone know?

Keep writing ladies! My son was not able to send letters until the third Sunday or the during week 3 of training. Divisions from what I understand may be slightly different on when they can first start writing letters and send them. They will come soon though. It seems to take three to four days to get them once they are mailed, and for me they came on Thursdays every week.

The first letter I got was one of the question and answer forms that I sent him. He said they only had about 15 minutes that Sunday to write letters so that was the fastest and easiest thing for him to send first.

No letter yet from our SR either. Got my hopes up last week and was crushed when no letter came, but I'm hanging in there and sending cards and letters anyway. When a letter or call does come it will be that much more special. God be with all our SR's. Hang in there specially div 186!!

That is very cool Paula :-)

FTLW, WAY!!! Or at least his Lone Wolf Ranch is...He spends a lot of time there but not like most folks do.  I was wondering about the picture thing myself. I just wrote mine and told him to order the biggest package and I'll pay him back for it. I think he will especially after seeing his Granddad's Keel and P-Coat from the 60's. Pretty cool to have a Navy son, Navy dad and Navy Grandfather...GO NAVY!
