For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the timeto read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Blank with your signiture so they could make it out to the Photo Lab? If you did this...do you know if the Photo Lab accepted it? We are getting some conflicting info about payment such as:

They now CAN take the money out of the recruits paycheck (used to be able to do this but then it changed to a debit/visa card, check or cash {though they shouldn't have this much cash on hand at BC} ).

That the Photo Lab will not accept a check from anyone but the Recruit.

The way the PIR groups work on here may be a little Different than FB. We try to have a PIR group for the whole TG (Training Group) and then have the Divisional Discussions for the Divisions within the TG up above in the Discussion Forum. That way Folks know where to go to find the Group and then their Discussion.

There are 7-8 TG's at any given time at RTC. That is 55+ Divisions on average or about 4000-5000 Recruits.

Well the group is user discussion forum on this page! We want to get married while he is in a school so we will see how that goes! We are very excited!! Hows your daughter doing?

If you get the group to work, I will join. Or I can try to do it. Don't know if I'll be successful, either. Do you have a wedding date set? Exciting!

That is where my daughter's BF is, and she is desperately waiting to hear from him. It sounds like the mail is going to start arriving! I hope hope hope it is tomorrow. Thanks for the update.
