Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the timeto read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Be sure to read the article that FTLW posted below for more info. There are 2 or 3 winners: All-Male Division, Integrated (Male/Female) Division, Motivational Chant

..but sometimes a Division winner also will win the Chant so that is when there are just 2 winners.

Comment by MSmom on June 8, 2012 at 4:56pm: Kristarice. Don't panic. Rest assured that they will be given an opportunity to call if their graduation date changes. Your SR could have had watch or a medical or dental appointment. One thing you can do is call public affairs. They will tell you if the graduation date is the same. I know the waiting is hard because I have been the one waiting for my phone call after everyone else in my sons division had called home. Keep the phone by your side because the call can come anytime. Mine came at ten at night. Best wishes to you and your SR.
