Joy- how sad that she can't make the baby shower!!!  Did you never mention before that you were about to  be a gramma? Or did I miss this?  I hope she can save her leave for when the baby arrives. That's more important anyway.

I talked to Kori last night.....she was a bit annoyed because she was previously told that she would not be take leave for the 4th.  Yesterday, when she moved to her new ship, they told her yes, they get a 4 day weekend and can take leave, but it's too late now to request it.  Grrrrr!!!!   She would have loved to come home for her sister's baby shower that we are doing on Saturday, and pool party for the 4th.  So not fair!!

@sperawk I will see if my sailor can contact any of his FB friends from the Div. to find out where Pelatier is.

My son SR Speraw graduated on the 17th from Ship 09 Div 205 and lost his raincoat. Other recruits said a SR Pelatier had his coat but we were never able to find him. Does anyone know this sailor or his family? Is there anybody at RTC that can be contacted to find out if this turned up in a lost & found. Any help would be appreciated.

Tys Mom and Meryl.....same here!! Missed the meet and greet because of Chicago traffic!  It took us 3 hours to go 30 miles!!!  I'll bet we were suffering together.....it was so miserable I swore I would never drive in Chicago again!

Lala.....beautiful picture!

Kris.....this is always the first place I check in Navy4Moms, too!

Audrey...thanks for the update, and I enjoy hearing all the news from all the sailors in our PIR group.  I hope we can all keep it up!

KC's mom.....that is crazy!!  You guys need to stop that!  How is your son's foot, by the way?  Still making progress?

My daughter went into Chicago yesterday for part of the Navy Week celebration there.  She said there were 46 sailors from GL there.......they had to wear their dress whites and for the most part, she said they just stood around.  I looked online for any pictures but didn't see any of the new sailors.  School still on hold......she's not real happy about that but at least she's making money, right?

My daughter said she may be able to come home for either Thanksgiving or Christmas, but that it would be taken off of her leave when they finish A school.  At this rate, it will be Christmas NEXT YEAR before she finishes and by then she will have accumulated more leave, right?  So I am pretty darned excited about that!
