Angel:  Hang in there...bootcamp is up and down for them...crying one minute, peaceful and happy the next.  Just stay on your knees for your daughter...she'll get there...

So glad that so many have been hearing from their SRs.  In just a couple of more weeks, things change for the better (usually Week 4--hell week).  Hell week is very busy...up earlier each day...lots of inspections and such, but they finally start feeling more positively about what they can accompllish.  So you all are almost there !  They'll be sailors before you know it!

I am so happy too! Got a call last night from my daughter.  She's in 3 209.  She excelled on her physical assessment today and got to call home too.

She said they all got oreos and were so excited.  I am so happy I finally got my call. Here's hoping all of you get your call very soon. She is also have a rough time but I told her to keep trying and I am praying for her.

God bless!

Patty - you know what I realized today? 4 weeks isn't very much time. You see, I told myself that since my son was going to have to get physically fit I would take the same 8 weeks and make it my goal to get fit as well and lose some weight. With today being the halfway mark, I realized I haven't lost any weight. In fact I gained a pound! hahaha. So my goal is to work out harder and be fit, just like my boy. And I only have 4 weeks to do it!! When I get on the treadmill and jog, I picture my son jogging too, and it motivates me to go even longer.  God, I'm so proud of my son. (I know we all are).

I'm very happy right now b/c my son's band (well, old band) has decided to still have practice in my garage and they are here now. I know they miss my boy but they have another friend standing  in to replace him.  Just makes me feel better knowing I will see them all on a regular basis. Even if they are just using me!!!  hahahaaha.

I'm missing my son more than usual today.  Total meltdown this morning.  Maybe it's the 4 week mark?  4 more weeks and we're there!
