I have a friend who recently graduated from the Naval Academy.  I mentioned the bandaid advice I had been given. She said to send "mole skin" in their letters (with instructions on how to use it).  She said it totally helps the blisters.  Just thought I'd pass it along. I can't even bear the thought of my precious first born child being in pain in those big bulky boots. I am crazy, I know. But my son is my life!!  I really don't think he would tell me what is really going on. He knows I can't handle it.

We got a letter today. But, we are out of town :-( I can't wait to get home tomorrow to read it. I am very excited that everyone is finally getting letters. I love our SR's.

Sunnyb, my daughter is in the same ship and division as your son, and we received a letter today, too!  So exciting to know that she is well and satisfied with her decision to enlist.  She also mentioned that they have not received "free" time yet because some of the members are not "together" yet.  Her letter is dated May 8th (Mother's Day) so I'm hoping things are improving for them.  She did mention she may be able to call soon -- so I'm praying for that.  I can tell so much more from her voice although her letter sounds upbeat.

I hope you get one tomorrow, Bussinbier.  Someone said Wednesdays and Thursdays are usually the best days to get a letter.  I'll be praying for you.

thank you, sunnyb, for your prayers and encouragement.   i have been praying scripture over this child for many years, and will look forward to the answers.  it sounds like to me several of our kids have injuries or sickness right now.

thankful for all of you

Guess what!!!  I got a letter!  I'm so excited but was sad to read he had been sick with a high fever.  He says he's better now.   He said Basic is really hard but he's doing okay.  He also said he felt so proud when they got their uniforms last week.  I can't wait to see him in his uniform at graduation.  I'll be praying with you, pianomom and all you other loved ones of our sailors.
