Congrads on the mothers who received a letter from there SR today.  I rushed home to check the mail box, but still no :(  letter.  I'm praying tomorrow will be the day.  Thanks for all the comments, they really help.

Thank you, Dianne.  That makes me feel so much better knowing he will be able to write home.  I was feeling guilty about not sending some with him.

OH how FUN... I had to go back 2 pages to catch up with what all you happy moms wrote. I think it is great we get to share with each other, for who knows, one SR might tell us something the other didn't.

*KC'smom, loved the part about making beds and folding clothes, cause my son is soooo used to that..  ~not~

I'm SO makin friends with the mail man tomorrow!

KC'sMom:  There are actually 3 PFAs (fitness assessments).  The important one that they must pass is the last one right before BattleStations.

meryl:  They usually have access to Navy stationery.  That is what my son wrote his letters on when there.

I sent some stamps with my last 2 letters.  I am also sending a SASE envelope with each letter. I'm soooo jealous of those who got letters today.  Maybe the rest of us will get one tomorrow.  Let's keep praying.   Also, thanks for the birthday wishes.  I really appreciate the thoughts. GO NAVY!!!!!

I think I found a photo of my daughter today on the Facebook page U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command.  It's under the Random Photos May 11, 2011, and is the third photo in that group.  Since she's only 4'11" (and weighs 98 pounds), I think she's the really small female in the ranks.  Plus the outline of the jaw and the stance fits my daughter.  If this isn't her, at least I can dream -- she's someone's daughter so I can enjoy looking at the photo and wishing "mom" wonderful thoughts.  So far, no letters or phone calls here -- oh yeah, she's in Ship 02 Div 931.

Meryl, I did the same. That's a good question for us to ask our sailors when we get our call later this week...hopefully. :/
