Mommabee - I thought of you just before they marched in the doors. Breath-taking just like in the pictures. I hope the DVD does it justice so that you can share in much of what we saw. We were so proud of ALL of our Sailors.

No, m3:  Mine was a GradNGo when he was at boot.  What a neat experience for you and your son to meet up with "daddy" every day at the base!  Love the singing, marching, etc.  So much fun for your son to see!

Hope all of you had an awesome day!

My son is THU (Temporary Hold Unit) he doesn't leave until Tuesday. So after graduation it took a long time for him to come back to us. We just sat on a bench and watched all the re recruits go marching by singing. It was just incrediable.

PIR was awesome!!! Beautiful and amazing

CONGRATULATIONS to all of you with new Sailors!

Can't wait to hear your PIR experiences!

Keeping Audrey, here4kids, KC, Squeekerz and your SR in prayer...will check for any more!

That is so nice!

When I went to get my Sailor one morning of his liberty, the SR were coming up to the NEX...I could have sat on one of the benches and just watched for quite awhile! I would've been great to see Sailors!

Diannep...did your sailor stay in GL? As much as PIR gave me goosebumps....when I was waiting to pick my husband up after checking in to the base you could hear them singing cadence and marching before you could see them and it just was just such an amazing feeling! Now every weekday I walk on base with my son to meet daddy at his school (its a very nice place for a walk!) and I Love when on Fridays I have to stepp off the sidewalk and make way for a the new sailors....You can tell how excited they are to be marching towards the gate and I love seeing the familes there waiting!

So....ladies....was it just amazing?  That 'sea of white' coming in is a goosebump moment, right?  We had a "sea of blue" when my son was there....white/blue..doesn't matter.  Congrats!

Audrey:  You are not alone in this...the run delays several of them per PIR group.  So sorry you are missing PIR.  Chances are...he won't be assigned to another PIR group.  Usually what happens is that they pass the run (in FIT), do BattleStations with the next group going, graduate (YAH!) and head to A School.  There may be BattleStations next Thurs night, but none earlier in the week due to no PIR next week.  We are not positive on the BattleStations on Thurs night yet for the 7/1 group, but hoping.  So...keep your chin up.  This is just a bump in the road, but I know disappointing about PIR.  Please be sure to order the PIR DVD if he didn't.  I think he would like to see his friends and want you to see it too.

Praying for your son, Angel's daughter, here4kids' daughter (6/10 group)---all waiting to make the run....and KC and Squeekerz for healing so they can continue.  Keeping all of the SRs in my prayers for wherever they are right now in training or recovery.

Audrey, I am here to chat if you want to. Today is a sad day for us, but I always keep reminding myself that he is getting a paycheck!!  So he is getting paid to fitness train at least. My boy's Navy Credit Union statement arrived yesterday. How exciting.  I'm sending it to him at BC (since he will be there forever).

I'm out of here. Going camping for father's day. Be back in a few. congrats to all the lucky people out there that got to see their SR's graduate.
