Thank you muchly for the prayers everyone. I hope to get a letter today, and I hope he's finally made up his mind about things. His indecision is killing me! lol
Wooo!!! Less than 24 hours ladies!! Good luck and have safe trips to RTC!!!
My sailor said they have Navy Mom shirts at the store on the base.
Moms your call will come....seems like forever...but it will come!
My heart goes out to all the moms whose SR was not able to graduate with their group. There are many more than the ones who communicate on here. 59 out of 80 (+ or -) passed in my sons Div. The "upside" of it is that they are given more than one chance to succeed. Perseverance. The big door will open for you too in the future. There are lessons for us in all of life's situations.
diannep: He was telling me about the "A" school and the phone. They are strict about phone usage there according to what they told him.
A big HOOYAH and Bravo Zulu to all of the sailors of 6/17...safe travel, ladies, enjoy meeting each other "in person" at the MeetNGreet...and get ready for the BIG DOOR TO OPEN tomorrow! goosebumps....
Congrats!
tysmom: They are not allowed to have anything when returning to RTC (like phone), but should be no problem having it once you meet him at the airport.
MamaCindy: I totally agree with Betsy! We also stayed at Residence Inn, as she did...and the shuttle was wonderful. We were on the 6:30 one...no wait at security...and in the PIR Hall by a few minutes after 7. We passed the line of cars..And no problem getting it after PIR either. They wait in the front gate parking lot...they run for about 2 hours after PIR is over. Remember, you all may think you can explore the base after PIR, but you can't. You are only allowed in the NEX and visitors center up towards the front gate. No visiting of the "ships." So no need to hang around on RTC base after PIR is over for very long. I vote for the shuttle!
:-)
And, Betsy, of course I never mind at all when veterans pick up questions! We are all on here to cover whatever questions come up. I'm rarely on after about 8 pm EST, so I so appreciate the other ladies like you covering those times. Thanks!
