Squeekerz, 103 temp? Goodness, I hope you feel better soon!
Imagagtoo, my son will be going to Groton.
I am enjoying reading everyone's comments this morning. Good things are happening and everything is falling into place. Praise the Lord!
Hey Tiff'sMom-Sharon: Wow, hard to believe it has been that long ago that she graduated! I remember you from that group. Time flies...as we get OLD! HA! So glad she is graduating A School now and moving on. Enjoy your time with her!
I agree with everything TiffsMom (Sharon) said. There is nothing like PIR...the school graduations, etc are wonderful because they honor our sailors and their hard work, but PIR is just a spectacular showing with so many new sailors in their finest, marching in unison....so, yes, you are in for a "lifetime moment" for sure!
MamaCindy: Reading your post about the song "Strength will rise..." made me start singing the song as I was reading the posts! HA! I've always loved the message in that song and the melody! I agree that KCsMom and Squeekerz seem to have more peace in their posts...way to go, ladies! I know it is still not a "peaceful" situation all of the time, but realizing that this is out of our hands and is a prayer issue.....gives us a sense of peace. Praying for both of your SRs and the future that the Lord holds for each.
And, I agree with Lala...LOVE hearing your news, KCs mom and everyone else's . There is no rambling on here...it is all news we want to hear!
to KC'smom--YOU ARE NOT BORING US!!! in fact, i have wanted to know how he was doing--physically and mentally. it really is ingenious how they keep dangling "carrots" in front of those who are injured--enough work, enough incentive, to keep them moving forward instead of backward. pretty smart, really.
and it had to encourage him to hear from so many loved ones in the family. will they let him and Sqeekerz SR study anything in the down time? to me, that would make a lot of sense--get AHEAD in the book work part of it or memorizing stuff.
and Squeekerz -- i don't know what all those titles mean that they are giving your SR, but as long as it makes him happy and content and fulfilled and moving forward, it is worth itI'm so glad you got to talk to him KC'smom!!! i'm also so happy that there has been floating and other great things happening!! zomg it's exciting. Lol
My SR is still on crutches as needed, so he's still phase one. he's cool with that though. It gives him more time to truly sit down and think about what's best for him, and to talk to the Chaplain about it. :)
man.. with good news comes annoying news though. lol i currently have an icepack on my forehead 'cause I have a fever of 103.6 last time I checked. Bah... haha.
