Hooray!! Or should I say Hooyah! Kori just called me, said their division won third place in the Captain's Cup! Go 11/204! It was so good to hear her voice....took me by complete surprise! She's an E-2 now, and will be an E-3 after Battlestations!! It was funny....she said that they were practicing for graduation when the RDC said "anyone who thinks they don't need any more practice, raise your hand" and the group that raised their hand were pulled aside and she thought, great.....now they get to sit and watch (she didn't raise her hand) while we practice....but then the RDC told all the ones left standing to go to their racks and get their phone cards.....LOL!!! She said she nearly burst into tears of joy!! I can't wait to see her on Friday! LOL....KC....I told Kori to call my cell phone, too!! Hey.....Moms have special privileges, right ? I don't feel guilty one little bit....=P I asked her about KC.....of course she knew exactly who I was talking about, and said he was asmoed.....they don't really get to see them or talk to them, though. =(
She said the call that we get after Battlestations will probably be Wednesday afternoon. She's disappointed because she was told that she can't have her cell phone during the first phase of A-school, but after about a month or so I can send it to her. I guess the first phase of A-school is a lot like boot, without all the yelling.......
You didn't get one either? I'm a little relieved that it isn't just me not getting a call... but now I'm wondering what's going on! I didn't get a letter either (his mom did) so I'm really unhappy about that. ... no call or letter... ugh...
What happened... i wonder if your SR will write and let you know why there were no calls...
The Captain's Cup is over already? Congrats to all the winners! Next is Battlestations......this is such an exciting week for them! I was so happy to get a letter today; the mystery is solved why I haven't had a single phone call since the "I'm here" call on April 26th........a few weeks ago they were letting them call and Kori forgot her guard belt so she went back to the compartment to get it and ran into her RDC who proceeded to cuss her out and wouldn't let her make the call. Then, on the 3rd.......they were told they could call but when they got to the booths they found out they were "double-booked" so they missed out. Poor kids. I'm relieved to know that it wasn't a matter of me missing her call at least....but it's been horrible not hearing her voice all this time! I will have my phone with me next week, that's for sure! Does anyone know when Battlestations is over? I have finals Tuesday and Wednesday, and it would really be bad if she called me right in the middle of my final......we're not allowed to have our phones while taking a test =/
