Linda, have you heard anything on Battlestations for our division?  I would like to burn my blue candle but I don't know when they're having it.

You all are very welcome!  Lala and the other veteran ladies/I love doing this.  And remember this:  By the time your SRs are sailors, you TOO are veteran ladies. So please feel free to jump on the PIR groups and share your experiences!

imajagtoo:  Depending on when their final PFA is, you could still hear if they don't pass it.  They will still have through Wed to pass it and go through BattleStations Wed night.  If they don't pass it by Wed, then they will be in FIT until they pass it.  Then they will do BattleStations with whatever PIR group is going at that time and they head off to A School.

Last letters should be sent out today.  If you wait until Monday, there is a good chance they won't get them.  If you still want to mail after that, copy them and take the copies with you to PIR.  Letters are forwarded, but many times never make it to their A School.

Good luck to the SRs in their Captains Cup today!

6 days ladies!! Enjoy the time with your sailors Friday.  I am anxiously awaiting pictures from my mom of my sailor on Friday and getting to talk to him on his cell phone.  My mom is flying out Wed for PIR while I prepare for for our other son's high school graduation Thursday.  Exciting week around our house!

AMEN about diannep and lala!!   yall have been such a blessing to my life, no matter where we end up!

We have just spent the last 7-8 weeks communicating with our SRs the "old fashioned' way.....writing our thoughts down on paper...waiting for the mailman. Each SR wrote their thoughts/feelings down to us....treasure those letters....it may never happen again. They will be back to texting and facebook in a matter of days.

We have shared joys and sorrows tog and I enjoyed your humor. I have to admit that last week I watched for the mailman from my bedroom window while checking online to see if you got a letter with news to share!!!! It was nice to be able fill in what my SR did not tell me although he was wordier than I thought he would be.

I have prayed for all of you and our SRs. We will all move on to a new time in our "sailors" lives.Thank you to diannep and lala for putting the time and effort into this site.
