Ok, ladies.  We MUST learn the Navy vocab.  My sailor throws it out at me...and sometimes I'm lost.

So let's start with the Navy Bootcamp Vocab:

Here's another good site with Navy enlisted info:

mks, the same here.  My son's not sure either exactly what he'll be doing.  Hopefully we'll learn soon. I have also received only one phone call.  Maybe today?  Would be nice.  I did look into "Sub Moms" and joined that group a while back although I haven't gotten involved yet. I really wish my son could tell me how soon they'll leave for Groton too.  Will it be right away or will we have the weekend with him.  I feel so "in the dark".  Good luck and I'll let you know if I hear anything.

imajagtoo:  That's three of us now.  My son said the same thing about the two years of training.  Actually, I don't mind that it will be a while before they get in those subs. Just gives us more time to be able to communicate with them.

We like it here, tysmom.  Have been here for over 20 years. SJ is still going strong.  Lots of new additions to the college.  I am so sorry about your cousin's passing.
