I got a call. :D I'm sooo happy. :3 He said he'll see if he'll be able to call back again, but he probably won't be able to. I told him he needed to call his mom though. :P I'm so happy!! nyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa lol I'm such a dork.
He told me I'm an inspiration to everyone, since he is the only one that gets mail every day. Haha. They also all love my letters, so I guess he shares the little pictures I draw on them. The one they loved most was my Rick roll one, where I just wrote down the lyrics to "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley, and drew his silhouette at the end. There are apparently a lot of anime fans, so they all appreciate my silly drawings on the envelopes. I think I'm exploding from happiness. I'm nearly crying.
He said most of the fractures are stress fractures, but the worst one is a cluster fracture in his right leg. He's on crutches, but he said in a few weeks they'll probably have him stop using them. He said the cluster fracture is going to take a long time to heal though. He also has made up his mind that he's going to try and come home as quickly as possible. He did a lot of reflecting and it is just not the life he wants. He said his mind was already made up... I told him it'll probably be really hard to get out though, since they do everything in their power to heal you up and get you back in basic training to graduate.
Awww. I was really distracted the last few days having a slight fever. :( I'm afraid I have a breast infection. :P Dern breastfeeding.
As for my SR... still haven't heard from him today. He said he'd get a call between 1pm-6pm, so I'm figuring it'll be 2pm-7pm my time. I have a few hours left. Haha... it's murder waiting though!!!!
i miss having my son around the house on saturdays. he was ALWAYS watching some kind of sports, and even though in the last couple of years he has been driving us crazy, we still miss him. THAT'S why i am emotional today.
anybody else?
i need to stop "naval gazing" (no pun intended) and get busy and help somebody else today
Oh Cindy, a to-do list is a great idea. I always leave him one when I go on a trip. I'll call from the airport & say I'm on my way home and he'll say, "Oh s$*t, how long before you get here, cause I gotta finish the list."
OK Ladies, I am emotional today too. Don't know why, haven't watched any PIR videos or heard the National Anthem or grabbed a soldier at the rodeo. I guess I am not busy enough.
