For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Yes, definitely tuck a Tide Stick in your purse! They must keep those white uniforms clean. Some even bring a towel for them to sit on when on Liberty and visiting restaurants, etc. Be careful of your makeup when hugging your sailors after PIR....one lady suggested putting your hand on their shoulder to rest your chin on, hugging with the other arm, to keep your face off of their uniform. She had a Coast Guard hubby in addition to her sailor, so had lots of practice in keeping white uniforms clean!

4 3 2 1 we are almost there ladies. Does anyone know if the Navy for Lodge has hair dryers in the room? Packing light so I do not have to check a bag at the airport. So happy for all of the moms on this site with graduating sailors this Friday. Ready to get the I am a sailor call.

Good Morning!
The remaining nights of BattleStations for this PIR group are tonight (Mon) and tomorrow night (Tues). Please remember that we are not allowed to post which divisions go on a particular night, until after completion. It is a 12 hr overnight drill, so remember that calls come after 2 pm Central on the day that they finish.
Everyone almost has SAILORS! Congrats!

Hi everyone, I made it home from CA where I was visiting my daughter who just finished her 4 years in the Navy. Her husband is still in and based at Coronado. I was there for two weeks and I feel like I went somewhere and explored that state every single day lol. I am so tired and I am dragging myself along. I guess it is jet lag and it will probably take me a few days to get back on east coast time in my mind, It was a great time. I highly recommend The San Diego Animal Safari Park over the zoo and if you go to Holywood you must do one of the tours. I really didn't think it would be that great but it was very interesting. I also liked the Santa Monica Pier and the pier and Seaport Village in San Diego was awesome. I tried to fit it all in just in case I never get to go there again lol.I had so much fun, especially with my daughter and granddaughter. I got to meet some great Navy Moms at the Meet and Greet and got to meet and spend the day with CatMom in Hollywood. We chased stars down Hollywood Blvd for hours, went down Rodeo Drive and toured the Hollywood sign and Beverly Hills. I even had my daughter call to see how much it would be to stay in the Hotel California for one night....$540.00 was more than a little rich for my budget lol. CA has so much to see and do and 2 weeks wasn't nearly enough time. We went to the Light House in San Diego and saw a Navy Sub coming back into port, saw the USS Reagan that is in port in Coronado and bought lunch for some sailors who were eating at restaurant in Seaport Village. It was a great vacation and we had so much fun :) Here is a pic of the statue at Sea Port Village. It is so much bigger than I ever imagined :)
