~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Are they allowed to mail letters every day or only after Sunday Holiday routine?
Ladies, Here is the link to the info in the PAGES section for anyone who has not read through it yet. Lots of info there!
Shiloh: When did he arrive at bootcamp? They usually do not receive any mail nor can mail out for the first 2 weeks there until the Recruit Mail Petty Officer is trained, so I doubt that he was actually mailing out on May 1st, maybe he just started to write letters then and saved them to mail later?
Greetings!

with the strength God provides.

praised through Jesus Christ."

Still no letter from my daugther Ship 11 Div 203. Her friend received some today but none to Mom :-( . Glad to hear the the graduation of the division won't get delayed. The way I read a post from another mom in that same division is they were on hold and push to meet grad date. Glad to hear it's just a tactic. Puts my mind at ease. We are planning on going to Sarge's Meet and Greet - looking forward to meeting you all. We booked our flights on USAirways because we have enough dividend miles to fly for free. I have heard Southwest doesn't charge to change. Thinking we'll be okay now. Just really anxious for a phone call or letter. Anything. Her friend filled me in on some things and it seems like she's doing really well and staying mentally fit. I just want to hear it for myself as a mom. You all know what I mean :-). Glad to hear 814 got their calls today. I can imagine the joy! But it looks like letters are starting to come from DIV 203. Mailman knows I'm on the lookout!
Ladybug, All I have received is graduation letter, no call or letter from my son yet.
Hello, just wanted to see if anyone has recieved a letter from their SR in DIV 203, besides the letter with thier PIR date and mailing address? thank you. =)
Yes, mine usually helps me too. But I am not as patient with the people helping me. I tend to want things done right now! Spent 2 1/2 hours cleaning our camper with bleach one day...no gloves :(...chemical burns on my right hand. So sometimes i need a little more control, or at least rubber gloves! lol
That is wonderful news, MariaFaith. I would write him extra letters, all full of encouragement, so he can "keep the faith!" Bootcamp is a break them down/build them back up process and it is not easy! So glad that talking to you helped him so much, but keep those letters of encouragement going!
OCD, you say, proudnavymom? HAA....me too! But mine really helps me to stay "on task" and get things done! Now my mom's? Not good as she is a hoarder....compulsively saving everything! UGH!
