Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 932

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi!! Got a surprise call from my SR Sunday!! What a blessing!! Got his form letter yesterday. 6/21 can't get here soon enough!!! Soooo proud of my kid!!!
I got a call on Sunday too! It was SOOOO good to hear from him! It's been 2 weeks today since he left. Time seems to be dragging for me. My SR sounded great and he seems to be adjusting well.

Was such a wonderful surprise for us too!!  Didnt expect to hear from  Nik for a few more weeks! What a blessing that call was for all of us!!  I sent my first letter  yesterday with a phone card incase he needed it. Hope he has made friends with your sons!!

Hello. We received a call from my daughter on Sunday as well. She is a SR with Ship 02 Div 932 as well. Congrats to you all! I am very proud of my daughter for joining the Navy!

I received a call on Sunday also!  It was great to hear my daughters voice.  Can't wait to see her on 6/21.  Got the plane tickets and hotel room.  Now if the 21st will just get here! :)

I got my hotel, we have a lot of Doubletree points and the nearest Doubletree was 12 miles away. So we aren't super close, but not terribly far away! Still have to get plane tickets.
We booked Navy Lodge last night. Can't beat the price!! Mr son said heads friends with an SR from Corpus Christi, TX. We are from Fort Worth so they had some common ground. He sounded really good! Said he might get to call this weekend too!!!

Does anyone know if our SR will come home for a few weeks after graduation?  My son was under the impression that he will come home after graduation for 2 weeks. The recruiter told him that he will work in the office with him for about 9 days and then after 2 weeks he will go to A school...The letter we received in the mail indicated just the opposite...does anyone know how this works?

I haven't heard of this. I wish- my oldest son is getting married 07/04 and we were told our SR would go straight to A school right after graduation. He could then inquire about leave once be got there but it wasn't likely he would get it. That would sure be great if they got leave after PIR!

I know Niks recruiter told him he would work with him for 9 days of the 2 weeks he was home but maybe things have changed...was hoping he would be  home for a family reunion. 7/04...It sure would be great if they could come home before A school...

Our SR is going straight to A school from GL. He gets to come home for 2 weeks after that, October-ish. He will be working at the recruiter's office too. He's looking forward to that!

Maybe that is what he meant to say...thanks so much for posting this...I bet that is what he is doing...
