Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 233 and 234

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

OK I will start.  Hope ti meet all of you, we will be sitting together at PIR in the bleachers so would be good to get acquainted.  We are booked for the Navy lodge.

Hi Co-TwinSailorsMom.  Looking forward to seeing everyone at PIR.  We booked for Residence Inn.  Haven't booked flights yet.  Everyone is telling me to book refundable but those are very expensive.  Trying to decide if I could just go with re-usable instead.  Any thoughts?

Can't wait to meet all of you at PIR. We're flying with Southwest, non refundable but changeable/reusable. Flying into Midway  on the 19th and coming back on the 23rd. Haven't booked the hotel yet, thinking of Holiday Inn.

Karen, you are in my thoughts... Is the Residence Inn reservation changeable?

Navy lodge was $66 per night.  Great price and closest to base.  Manager is former navy and a great help.

We are flying into Milwaukee (45 min) got tickets from Colorado $390 round trip. We arrive 6-20 leave 6-23.

What a cute dog SoProud.

I'm really hoping to get a letter from my son tomorrow. Can tomorrow come faster please?

Thank you, his name is Jinx and he's 2 yrs old.

Hi SoProud  Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts.  I am really hoping to finally get a call this weekend.  Yes the Residence Inn reservation can be cancelled up to 24 hours before arrival and/or changed to a different date.  I will have my older Son and a friend with me.  We are looking at flying into Milwaukee on the 20th and leaving on the 24th.  My older son convinced me to stay until Monday and spend some time in Chicago.  We will probably rent a car to get around in.  I can book roundtrip on Southwest for 250 a peice for round trip from New Orleans.

$250 is not bad at all. Ours was 400 from Phoenix. I am really hoping you will get that phone call this weekend and you get to hear your son's sweet voice. :-) I wish I could cheer you up...

Thanks SoProud  I appreciate you so much and everyone on this site.  I am feeling better. I just got my hopes up when I saw everyone getting calls.  I know No News Is Good News.  Hopefully I will hear from him soon.  I will keep my fingers crossed for you that you will get that letter you are hoping for tomorrow.

I am excited and the 21 couldn't get here fast enough. I am going to be traveling by train with my kids. We are leaving on the 19 and should be there in the afternoon of the 20. I am not sure when I will head back. But as soon as I book my tickets I will re-post. We are getting a much better deal through amtrak over any flights out of Texas. I am looking at some crazy high prices. Over $400 each and since I have to purchase three of them the train is a much smarter thing for me to do. I am going to split the cost of the hotel with my father-in-law and a rent a car. So really excited to experience Chicago and see my SR. (:

I'm flying out of Texas on the 20th and booked round trip for 230.
