Welcome all new SR moms, dads, girlfriends, wives and other family members! I am NicksMom and my sailor was in PIR 6/8 Ship 02 Div 930 until a few hours ago.  He had to make the dreaded call to say he was set back for two weeks for fraternization. Don't have any details! Since I am a few weeks ahead of you in this whole journey, Let Me Say This: Everything you are feeling, experiencing, and going through - it is ALL normal and a whole bunch of us have and are going through it too. Please use this site to chat, share thoughts, ask questions.  This is a huge emotional roller coaster for us and our SRs.  We stay strong and positive and can say (almost) anything here; with our SRs we stay focused on helping them become better people and most of all United States Sailors!

Hi LisaSophia - if you are on FB ~ https://www.facebook.com/groups/303109586434423/?bookmark_t=group (Nick'sMom) ~Lynn

Good Evening Everyone, Today was mail day. Woot Woot! My son was finally able to write his first letter to me on May 1st (while still in his previous division) and then every evening since. The letter was mailed this Monday (7th) and took two days.  Still no telephone calls - soon! I hope! He said Division 188 had already been receiving mail prior to his arrival on the 2nd.  He also went on to say that the young men in this division have welcomed him warmly and appreciate all he has gone through and are asking many questions about what to expect for these next two weeks.  Division 188 started their 1-1 day on Thursday May 3rd (for those keeping count). If you haven't received mail yet - it should be any day now. Stay strong! PS: My son says he taught the division how to sing Anchors Aweigh "so they won't sound like crap anymore"! LOL  42 more days and we get to see our loved ones.

Thanks for the info Nicks mom.  Glad they welcomed your son warmly, and its nice he can give them a heads up with what to expect in the coming weeks.  It was so good to hear from my son yesterday, his letter was short, but he sounded good.  What is 1-1 day?  glad they can now sing Anchors Aweigh without sounding crappy. lol

There is a facebook page for this ship/division as well.  https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/303109586434423/

Division 188 has been making calls today.  I just got off the phone with my son. I hope you ladies get your calls today.... I'm such a happy mom right now!
