Ugh, I made a mistake on the paycheck thing. I meant to say pay stub. You will get a paycheck (in other words you'll get paid ) but not a pay stub. That's where the LES comes in I'll fix it when I get to a real computer . Sorry

I am trying to decide between renting a car for the 3 days I am in Chicago or using a cab to get around. Not sure which is better, price-wise. I like the idea of not having to worry about getting lost or stuck in traffic with a rental (since I will be alone trying to navigate) but I heard that a cab can cost over $50.00 just to get to the hotel from Midway. Any suggestions?

Thank you. I had a dream about him last night I guess thats why I feel sad today. He is a very couragous person for doing what hes done woth me and our 5 year old. I fly out in 47 days so its going by but its going slowly. I miss him terribly. Hopefully I get a letter soon and my stuff for my military id. Thank you again mumof4

Hang on Julie - not too much longer - relatively speaking!  :)  Just think about what he is doing for his country and family......what an awesome thing!  It takes a lot of courage for a husband/father to join the military - he must be a very special individual and love you very much!  Almost down to 48 days.......

Good morning ladies!!! Only 48 days till we see our SR!!!! Hope you ladies have a good day!!
Comment by diannep on May 4, 2012 at 8:03am

mumof4:  They bus all out to the 2 airports early in the morning to wait for flights.  I have heard of some not flying out until late afternoon, but they still are bussed early in the morning to wait.  They wait in the USO.  They take very good care of the sailors there.  What we suggest is that all of you go back to your hotel after dropping off your sailors at RTC on PIR Day.  Take a nap...get up and head to the airports then to meet up with your sailors.  You will be able to get a gate pass to wait with your sailor until the plane leaves.  This is up to the airlines, but we have never heard of a problem...unless your "entourage" has a huge number of people!  They love their sailors in Chicago so really treat them well.  They are used to seeing the sailors there, especially on Saturdays when so many fly out.

Good morning all!
