Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Reallly ready to start counting the 8 weeks. This is our families second go around with BC. Her younger brother finished boot camp PIR date 9/1/2011. I am not finding it any easier to do a second time. Still on pins and needles. Would love to hear from anyone that had their son/daughter leave last week.

I'm here in Houston, Texas. His A school wil be in San Antonio, which is great news for me, as it's within driving distance! I'm looking forward to chatting and getting to know you all.

We are almost to 2 weeks being gone only about 1 more week till we here from our SR. letters might start coming in this week for some of us, for those of us if it doesnt then just know they are missing us just as much as we miss them.

Comment by marcyl(Ship11Div197) on April 30, 2012 at 10:51am: @mom2five, Way to go on the boot camp. I did mine in January and lost 22 lbs. I was hoping to start again in May, but I think I may need to use those funds for PIR. My boot camp was one of the best things I've ever done. You go Girl!!!

I was so focused on getting my son off to GL that I forgot to get the car smogged and registration turned in :-( Has to happen today!!

My personal *boot camp* is working. A couple of pounds down!
