For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

I have like 5 letters already but since I havent received the "Official" form letter, I'm only sending cards. I don't want the letters to get lost. Is that dumb?? I'm gonna try and send one every day this week. and hopefully by the end of the week I will have "the Letter".. Hope everyone is doing well. The first weekend without her was tough, but I am hoping her PIR is the 22nd so I am counting down.. <3

Since our SR's only receive mail on Sundays I'm hoping these make it on time for him the get them this weekend. I can't wait to hear from him. I was lucky enough to get a little note on his "form letter" but it will be so good the read his words in a letter. My thoughts and prayers are with all our recruits!! The countdown continues!!
