..and, yes....187/188 are brother divisions so would have gone through BattleStations together.
mumof4: No problems with the post since they already went through.
NavySis: What division?
teresac: Yes, you can pay for the photos with a credit card in the NEX after PIR. It may be crowded, but it is doable.
GOT THE CALL!!!!!!! Yeah!! So excited right now cant stop smiling and crying!!!
My son has never shot anything ! Does Call of Duty count?? ha ha. I don't think I'm going to mail his debit card either, mail seems to take over a week to get there and I would hate for that to get lost. I'm hoping if he calls I can give him a credit card # over the phone. One week from today I will be on the plane to Chicago!!! Whoo hoo!
Oh.....that means he gets a markmanship ribbon for his uniform. Congratulations! Especially since most of these guys have never shot a pistol before, that is pretty exciting!
teresac - well...I wasn't expecting a call from our boy until "The Call", so that would be a nice surprise! I googled the shooting ribbon thing and found out there are 3 different levels - there are 240 possible points and from a certain number to a certain number indicates the levels - markmanship, sharpshooter and expert. I can't tell you exactly what each level is, though, off the top of my head. I would probably call the NEX at RTC and ask them about the photos. I know you can purchase them at PIR, but I think there will be lots of people doing that and long lines. I'm hoping my SR remembered to order - I kept telling him to in each letter, but that doesn't mean he did! :) I probably would NOT mail his debit card at this point either - I mailed what I figure is my last letter today and told our son in it that it would be the last one until we saw him next week! Getting close for sure!
I got a letter from my son yesterday. It was dated June 9th and he said that next week (so that would be this week!), he was going to be able to call home! So look for a call any day! He also said he got a Marksmanship ribbon for the 9mm pistol? Does anyone know what that means? He also wants me to mail his debit card to him so that he can buy pictures. I'm reluctant to mail it to him at this point as the mail takes over a week to get there....any ideas on how we can pay for pictures? Can I put it on my credit card when I get there?
Was that okay to say, or should I remove it?
Julie (Div. 188) said last night for her, so I'm assuming 187 went with them!
