mumof4, my sailor surprised us and came home on leave two weeks ago and we had boxes everywhere in his room, since we have just moved into a new house. He really enjoyed going through the boxes and was actually very happy about finding some of his "old" clothes. I would box them up, but hold onto what you think he will wear again. My son still fits into his clothes from before BC and he has been in the Navy for about 18 months.
When we print the parking pass, are we suppose to be able to type the name and address info of our SR onto the pdf before printing? I wasn't able to. Is it OK to write in this info?
elena: Just did...make sure to read what I wrote before you hit "accept" or the writing goes away! :-)
mumof4: So ok...confession here. My son left for bootcamp in 2009. Clothes in his closet/dresser. Guess where they are today, in June 2012? Yep, closet/dresser. Is he here? NOPE! And he is not in the Navy anymore! Was honorably discharged in March....so....he lives in another state now...just got engaged. What to do with these clothes? I guess I consider it his "wardrobe" when he comes to visit at Thanksgiving! But then, they are over 3 yrs old??? Sigh...
Thanks diannep for the guestimate! :) Question regarding your SR's clothes? I have a closet full and a dresser full of clothes, plus hunting clothes, jackets, boots, etc. - the usual paraphernalia of a Michigander. I got some tubs to pack the hunting stuff in just in case our son gets leave during hunting season.
But I'm not sure what to do with all the other clothes. Should I just go through and keep some of the nicer stuff and give the rest to Goodwill? I'm having an internal battle. I'm also thinking that he'll probably not be using it any time soon, so I should just get rid of it all and he can buy new when he needs it. Any suggestions?
diannep may you private message me the date or BS for div190 please?
almost there....thanks to everyone for keeping the information coming and julie for creating this group.
Wellllllll boo hiss!!!!! :)
Did I hear at one point that the 932 will go before the other divisions, or after?
"SO"...not "s" !
Battlestations for this PIR group will start this week...we just can't post exact dates on here. They will finish up next week. If you have received dates from your SRs, please friend request/private message me the dates. I have only received one for 189/190 s far. I'm keeping a schedule.
Please read through the BattleStations discussion above in the Forum for more detailed info!
