Good Morning Everyone! how is everyone today? it's bright and sunny here in the NorthEast!
It seems my SR gets to write a letter every other day (he dates them) i know one time he did it while he was supposed to be sleeping...what a rebel. lol
For the past 2 weeks I haven't been sleeping well, I have no idea why, maybe i'm just very anxious to see my SR....even though its still 3 weeks away...3 very short weeks though! it's crazy how time flies. hoping for a letter today!!!
Lala - I love the questionnaire. Just tweaked it and will mail it out tomorrow! Already sent a letter today! :)
Good morning all!
Good morning everyone. When my daughter was at boot camp I made a questionnaire to send to her. I added in all the questions that I had been asking her in my letters but had not received answers to. I made it a little funny to make her smile and I added a paragraph of encouragement to help her get through battle stations. I added it to the discussions above so you can share it with your recruit as well. You can copy and paste it and print it out to send with your next letter. You may have to tweak it a little bit since my Sailor is a girl :-) Feel free to make it your own. I hope it will brighten your Soon to be Sailors day as much as it did mine. Be sure to include a self-addressed envelope so they are more likely to send it back. And you could make an extra copy or two for them to share with a friend. I would make a whole bunch of copies to send though because the RDC's may frown upon that. I hope you enjoy it :-)
Thanks :-) I am like that too, never met a stranger lol. I am a people person my hubby...not so much lol. I can't imagine being a silent division. What is that all about? I have been here 2 years and never heard that before.
Wallace's Mom I hope he gets to make up that call very soon.
good night all, bed time on the east coast :-)
No problem Lala ..... I've never been shy! :) Just ask my boys....they get embarrassed because I usually talk to EVERYONE! My oldest accused me of trying to set him up with his new neighbor when he moved to SC - I wasn't, but was just being friendly! Right now...I have nothing. My SR's recruiter did say that his division may have to stay a silent division until PIR - that's a LONG time not to talk! I'm hoping to hear soon that they are able to talk again! Any news out there from you other Div 932 moms? My SR is a terrible letter writer - don't get much out of him, but I don't care. 3 lines is better than nothing! :) I have to rely on other moms to keep me informed also! Three weeks from right now we will be at Sarge's or another Meet and Greet getting ready. I think I 'll be too excited to sleep that night.....I'm already excited! Trying to figure out what to wear so our boy can spot us....
I know this may sound like a crazy request but It would be great if some of you would check this page daily and comment about news from your soon to be Sailors. We have moms on this group and others who are not comfortable on computers yet and for some of them this is their first experience with any social network. Lots of them don't have facebook and they come here for info. Many have never posted a comment and may never do so. but they do appreciate all the news you share and would love to get to know some of you. I think if there was more activity on the PIR group pages they may come out of hiding and share their news as well. You would be surprised at how many emails I have received from members who are out there looking for some encouragement and new friends. Thanks so much for those who do post comments here. I know this site is how I survived the weeks my daughter was at boot camp and I still love and appreciate all the friends I made on Navy for Moms; it is near and dear to my heart <3
