Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

He said he was SIQ the day the division got to call and he said he would get another 15 min call again soon. Good golly how fast 15 mins goes by. He also said that his A school might be delayed and it could take 12 weeks for him to finish.. I dont think I could survive without him for another 12 weeks. I miss him so much..

He said he and another guy in his division want to get stationed together. I am really wanting a phone call soon. Its been too long. I guess I am missing him a lot today.

Comment by mumof4 (ship 02, div 932) on May 27, 2012 at 1:41pm: Glad you had a great family "reunion" yesterday juliebelle28. My husband got me an IPAD for Mother's Day so I would have facetime with our soon to be sailor when he stationed wherever, and we have another son out of state also!

I'm really missing my boy today......just want to see him and talk to him and hug him! :)

I will tell you it's one of the most awesome experiences and then you get to hug your sailor for the first time in 8 weeks.....it's priceless!

Today we are all going for a drive across the Blue Ridge Parkway and going into Cherokee for a little shopping and a picnic. I hope you all have a wonderful day.
