Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

We skyped with our Sailor on Christmas as well and we passed the computer around to each of 22 family members that were here and everyone got to see and talk to her :-) Skype is awesome!!!

It was confusing me as well Julie. So now I type Juliebelle when I am referring to her and Julie when I am referring to you :-)

One for each day their day their dad would be deployed. They took one quarter out each day and put it into a different jar. When there was enough in the second jar for ice cream they go to meet the ice-cream truck in front of their house. Their mom added quarters back to the jar so they would think it was still a few weeks until their dad would be home so he could surprise them. When they went out to meet the ice-cream truck the ice-cream man was their dad. It was so sweet. Stories like that always makes me cry lol.
