Just and FYI:
The Weather Widget is interactive.
If you hold your cursor over the top bar:
To the far left is the LIVE tab. This shows the current weather. If you go to another day or time and want to return to the current weather just click LIVE.
The tab next to it is the time you are at.
Next to that is the date. Click the arrows to advance or retreat OR click on it and you will get a Calendar and can click on any date.
The rest of the top bar is the current day. The little green marker is what the current time is. Slide your cursor across to go to any time of the day
The weather will change in the Picture accordingly. The Big Square box on the right with the written details will change also.
Just under the top bar to the left are the next four days of the week...click on those to look at them...click on the arrow to extend...it will add two more days.
All the little balloons, birds, planes, falling stars etc. are added features I believe. But when it is windy or cloudy...those reflect the true weather conditions.
I just read a post from 06/22/2012 PIR that today is day 2-5 for Division 179...from a phone call home today. That TG starts with 177...so 179 is an earlier division. So I think the Divisions in this TG are ending week 1 and just starting week 2.
A few Folks from this PIR have received mail...they have just posted it in their Division Discussion...so it is coming in Folks. Hope you all get mail soon!
I worry about my SR - he has NO musical ability at all.....so he must have volunteered for something else! Open a door, he can definitely do! :)
Don't worry the 900 division will be very busy practicing for PIR and learning all the other stuff they have to learn in bootcamp. They are kept super busy and they will be AMAZING as always :-)
No letter for me today......it sounds so lonely for div 932 training alone! Is it because they have to practice also for the honor guard stuff, so their schedule is different?
I was so excited to get a short letter today! She says "boots not terrible, the instructor screams a lot but it's all good fun". I am confused about her address though, the form letter said Ship 7 Div 193 3405 Sailor Dr, that matches the address on the RTC website. But her letter today said Ship 7 Div 193 3600 Ohio St. I'm not sure which to use to writer her!
Ladies, when you write to your SRs or receive a call, ask what training week/day they are on that day. Write it down. Bootcamp is 8 weeks long, but training weeks are 6 weeks long. So....once they start 1-1 (week 1, day 1), they will be in training. The days are numbered 1-5 and weekends/holidays are not counted. So if a division's day #1 is on a Wed, it will always be on a Wed each week. However, holidays will move them back a day, so after Memorial day, that Wed day #1 will now be on Thurs. Once they reach 6-5, they will do BattleStations which is their final test before they become sailors. There is a discussion above in the Discussion Forum to explain BattleStations.
Brother divisions train together. These are the brother divisions in this group:
187/188, 189/190, 191/192, 193/194
932 trains alone.
Thinking that this past Sunday was the first day that the SRs could write. Not all of them may have been able to. Some may have had watch, etc. My letter day was Thursday when my son was there, so hoping for some letters tomorrow if you all didn't get any today!
