I've been given the daunting task of finding a nice restaurant to eat at at after PIR for my SR and her entire family. It needs to have vegetarian options but there will be small children with us so there needs to be a chicken tender option too lol. I've never been to the Great Lakes area or Chicago so I have no idea where to start. Anyone have any suggestions? I want it to be really nice. I'd like to impress the family!! Thank you!

The Wildberry Cafe is a nice and casual option. You can check out their menu online. Then there is Giordano's for Chicago pizza that alot of families like. Lovell's is a steak place and I think the Sailor eats for free there, but only certain entrees? You could contact them to ask about that~~
I haven't been to any of them though~~ Happy hunting!
Lovell's give themm anything they want on Graduation Day only - not Saturday and Sunday.4
There are several great places to eat. One in Particular is Lovells of lake forest. As a gift to our Navy families, he will give our sailors a Free Meal on Graduation day. You must make reservations. Here is the link http://www.lovellsoflakeforest.com/
Another great restaurant that offers a limited free meal to our sailors is Trattoria in Libertyville. Both restaurants are less than a 20 minute drive from your hotels. Here is the link http://www.trattoriapomigliano.com/

Lovell's sounds wonderful...I wish we had been able to go there!
We ate at Cracker Barrel for breakfast twice. We don't have them in CA so I go whenever I can! Warm family atmosphere and a full menu.
Pizza twice...The Silo and Giordano's. Both great!
