~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Ok, Sara, just saw Nicole's division number which is 208---and this was her SR's graduation date, meaning that it is the brother division for your SR's division.  So looks like this IS your group.

Sara:  I believe that your SR may graduate on 6/20.  That group will start with Div 203 and I feel sure they will have at least 7 divisions.  In that case, I believe yours will be there.

Nicole:  Most likely, he will fly out sometime on Sat.  However, occasionally they fly out on Sunday, so we suggest that all stay until Sunday if they are able to .... just in case.  Your SR will not know when he is shipping out for sure until right before PIR.

Precious:  Navy Gateway is located on the A School base.  You must have military ID to stay there, and it is restricted as far as the A School students coming to the hotel.  However, if your sailor is flying out.....there won't be a problem with your sailor visiting you at the hotel after PIR.  If staying in GL for A School, your sailor must get a chit when moving over there shortly after PIR in order to be able to visit you there.

Navy Lodge is a bit more convenient in that it is off base (in the housing section near RTC).  You can stay there if you book in your SR's name, unless you have military ID yourself.

Nicole, If their A school is outside of GL, they usually fly out the next day. My family arrive Thursday and leave Saturday afternoon.

My husbands recruiter told me to book a hotel for the weekend. I read in my letter that he would most likely be shipping out the day after graduation. Should I still book for the weekend? I really don't see the point.

I am new here & have ? About graduation dates. My son is ship 14 Div.208. I have not received a letter. Does this Division graduate on 6/27/14?

Im praying for all the men & women as they go through BC.

I received my daughter's letter yesterday. Her ship03 div 210. PIR 06/27. Have anyone stayed at Navy gateway inns & suites?
