N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Several of us received letters from our SR yesterday. He sounded very positive and rated his divison a 7 out of 10 on their team work. He also said that his division won the academic flag. Had an average of 4.6 out of 5.0. He is ship 12 div 247. He did not mention anything about being "set" back. Hope this helps some of you. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. One more Friday down!

Today is graduation day for our youngest so we will have a house full of people this weekend. I love having family here especially my sailor but after all this I will be ready for some quiet time with just me and hubby lol. We have an 1100 sq ft house, with our 5 kids, two of their dogs, 2 grandparents, my two brothers, their wives and kids and grandkids, my hubby's ex wife (yeah we invited her) her boyfriend and her brother, a couple boyfriends and at least 3 BFF"s added to that and now a tropical storm so lots of rain uggggg. Calgon take me away lol

I have been spending lots of time with my Sailor. She is home on leave and it is so good to see her. I probably won't get to see her again until I go visit her when it is time for the baby to be born <3 We are so excited to meet Eastyn in about 8 more weeks :)

Thanks for that post NavyMom 12/247. I had wrongly thought Hell Week started already.
Comment by NavyMom12/247 on June 6, 2013 at 8:03pm
They will start week 4 day 1 Friday June 7th. 4:2 Will be Monday and so on. Day one of a given week will be Fridays and day two Monday's. Hell week starts tomorrow supposedly. Ship 12 Siv 247 has a weapons inspection test Friday and Monday and if they pass both they will earn a flag for their division. According to my SR the things listed that happen in certain days are more of a guideline and possibilities of what might be happening. She has been on target as far as what is listed as happening by the week though.

Ellen that's nice. I am glad i am not the only one wondering what is going on. As always thank you for your information. You have no idea how much you and the other mentors have helped me with this whole journey. Prayers for you and our SR's.
