Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Leigh, I think you can call the PAO and give them your Sailors name and tell them you are getting ready to fly there and ask if he is on track for graduation. It could be that he had watch and wasn't able to call. Did other from that DIV get the call and did they say if everyone passed? I hope you get good news very soon {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

Good morning everyone, still raining in the Sunshine State :( At least it's not a tropical storm. That's my bright side lol. Heading to the Aquarium :) I hope you all have a wonderful day.

If they don't call how do we know if they passed?  Getting on a plane tomorrow & did not get a call from my son in div 253.  Should I be worried or is he just too exhausted to call?

Ladies remember that your PIR service will be" livestreamed" on the internet for those who can't attend to see.  Check the discussion above or the topic in the PAGES section for the link.

All who did BattleStations last night should be sound asleep by now.  They get to hit their racks by  8 pm on the day they finish.  They are thrilled to do this as they are exhausted after being up since early yesterday morning.  Sweet dreams for them tonight as sailors!

Safe travel for all on their way to GL!
