~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Next I'm a Sailor calls should come in on Monday afternoon.  Keep those phones close by that afternoon!  Can't reveal the divisions, but someone will be calling!

Congratulations to the Sailors who made it through Battlestations, and to all the moms who diligently prayed!  It will be bittersweet.  To be so proud, and to see them at PIR, and then to leave to go home without them.  My prayer is that all of the familes have the strength we all need, to hug them and kiss them, and be there, and then to again, go.  God be with EVERYONE!

TexasMom, The "I am a SAILOR" call comes after BS, and your SRs division has not yet done it . At this point since PIR is this coming Wed you would have heard by now if there was any issue. "No news is good news".

Keep your phone close, that call will be coming soon.

Thanks everyone. I hope I don't miss the next call. My phone didn't ring. :-(

Congrats to the new sailors of 249-252!

Joshuamom:  If they didn't pass BattleStations, they will go again and pass for sure.  If they didn't pass their final PFA though, that is another story.  They get 3 chances a week to pass, but with the Wed PIR, they will only have Monday to pass it and still be at PIR.  If they don't pass the PFA then, they will not be at PIR and will stay in FIT DIVISION, still trying to pass....once they do, they do BattleStations and head straight to their A School.

Remember, some who did BattleStations may have "watch" today and be unable to make their I'm a Sailor calls.  Hopefully they will get to call tomorrow.  Be sure to be checking their FBs too as some may get to the computers before they get to the phones.

Angie, if she was calling today, must have been good news!  Sorry you missed it but hopefully she will get to call again.  She didn't leave a message on the answering machine?  If she hadn't passed her PFA, you should have gotten a call before today.  So sure hoping that she has good news for you!

Angie, My daughter said everyone passed.  So sorry you missed the call.  I hope they let them call again.  I did not ask what they were doing, but I know they are not having their celebratory pizza until Tuesday, when all of the divisions are done.
