Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

SHIP 11 DIV 214
We received a 45 min phone call Friday, because he made a perfect score on his 2nd written test He was excited because all he had left was the last PT test , some inspections, the 3rd and last written , then BATTLESTATIONS!!!!!! It was great talking to him that long.

therevbev, my son is in 213. I have received no calls either. Just received a letter and so did his girlfriend. They have been busy and just went through Hell Week. I think a lot of them have been sick but they are getting through it. Hang in there. I am in it with you!!! :)

ANY NEWS FROM DIV 213?? I haven't heard since the 1st of June. Having waited out a Marine at boot, I understand the lack of calls and mail, BUT I NEED NEWS!!! ;-(

Good Morning!
If anyone has received a BattleStations date from their SR, can you friend request or message the info to me? I'm trying to figure out this PIR group's schedule. It may be a little different from the normal ones due to your Thurs PIR rather than Fri.....and the fact that this is such a small PIR group. We cannot post the dates here on this site or FB, but we can private message them.

I was also hoping for a call, haven't heard from my boy in 2.5 weeks.. Have gotten a few letters though. We are on a count down and getting excited!
