~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

I have checked my groups and nothing is there. Are all the admins not available to check it or is there some where else I am suppose to be checking for?

Well, charlotteh:  During Liberty, they should be able to attend those local events.  They have a radius to stay in during Liberty (I believe it is 50 miles) and they have rules to follow, but other than that, they should be able to choose what they want to do.

Good Morning All!!

I have put my trust in the Lord God,

thank you for all the info, I shouldn't worry and really have no reason to think things wont go great....Looks like 7/3 will be an awesome date to graduate with all the July 4th festivities going on....Do you know if all the new Sailors will get to attend all the events

Comment by diannep on June 8, 2014 at 10:17am

For those who do not pass the final PFA by their division's BattleStations day, they will call home and tell you, "failed my test, won't graduate, don't come."  Most will be able to tell you that they have a couple of more tries before PIR, but some don't tell you that (but it is true).  If you get that call, RTC asks you not to come to PIR unless you get another call from your SR/sailor saying he/she will now graduate.  That can play havoc with travel plans.  Used to be that if you showed up there just in case they passed, you could at least visit with your SR for a couple of hours on base....but they no longer allow that.  If you come to PIR and your SR is not a sailor, you will not be allowed to see him/her nor be allowed on base.

Prayers that all pass the PFAs on time so no worries!

Oh, and if they do not pass before their PIR, they stay in FIT DIVISION and keep trying....they get from 10-12 more tries, I believe.  When they pass, they do BattleStations and head straight to A School then, no PIR.  If they do not pass in the allotted time, they are discharged.

charlotteh:  Usually the week before PIR week, I believe.

Good Morning All !
