~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Staying at the ramada too! Made my reservation on Saturday. Didn't know about the meet and greet. Can you fill me in on that??

OK, he's been away to college for a year -  is 22 yrs old and knows what he wants.... why is this week so hard? Hubby could barely write the letter today, and I feel like crawling into a ball. I KNOW he's doing well, what is hard he will get.... why am I so down? (Of course, we are moving out of state right after PIR, and I just finished packing up his room today, so that didn't help.)  Hoping tomorrow will be better!

Made our reservations for the Ramada.  They have a meet and greet Wednesday night and free shuttle to and from PIR.  Anyone else staying there?

2boysandmom:  Sarge does run a great shuttle from airports to hotels,to/from PIR, and around town (actually a taxi service but he gives you a discounted price).  However, it is still more economical to rent a car....you have time to look around for the deals...so you may want to consider that.  We rented a car when there and didn't regret doing that.  It was nice to have the freedom to go places our Sailor wanted to go without worrying about how to get there.

Sarge's number, should you want to use his service, is:

847 212 0246 (text or call)

or....you can email him at:  johnspadaro@att.net

2boysandamom- We actually are driving in. But check with Sarge who hosts the Meet & Greet. He makes it clear he can help with transport.

Question for all you mom's planning for PIR in July- How are you arranging transportation from airport to Navy Lodge? Are you renting a car or looking into shuttle-if shuttle where is the best deal? Trying to figure out how to get to Midway airport to Navy Lodge. Thanks
