Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

My son is a SAILOR!! He nodded off three times during our call.  He was so tired.

Just got done with a 25 minute phone call from our Sailor!!!  Everyone in Division 211 made it through Battlestations.  He wasn't 100% sure about 212.  So proud of all the Sailors!!  Have a wonderful weekend!!

Akasha,

You will be there in that graduation hall with no problem and if someone else drives you, so much the better!!

Sarge's number is 847-212-0246.  You can ask him if personal vehicles can drop off where the shuttles drop off too~

Comment by Akasha on June 27, 2014 at 12:06pm

Good morning everyone,

CatMom509

I've tried entering it in All Caps but no luck. I will either use the shuttle or just have my relative get us there.

Good Morning!

Just heard that 2 moms said 211/212 went through BattleStations last night, not scheduled for Monday night, as I had been told by someone else.  Sooooo.....if you have a "new sailor" in either of those divisions, please have your phones close this afternoon!  Calls can start as early as 2 pm Central time!

Comment by Cathy Jo PIR 7/3/14 on June 27, 2014 at 8:14am

Good Morning all, Thanks CatMom509

Comment by debmil24 on June 27, 2014 at 6:49am

Thank you CatMom. I've been praying all night!
