For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Yep, we are! It's going to be a looong day tomorrow. We have to wait until 7 pm to expect a call because we are in West Africa and so are five hours ahead of GL.

No calls. 232..Do we think they did BS last night? I got a private message of a date later in the week. You can send me a message if you want the date. Have all of you also been following this PIR on Face book?

Well, good night again,ladies. Looks like we've got a weekend of waiting ahead of us. Jon leaves for the USA late Monday night (6pm GL time). I'm hoping he doesn't miss getting to be part of the call if it comes that day!

Sounds like there was a change in the date they were scheduled to go. I know for sure they were originally scheduled to go through this past Wed night, but that doesn't mean it happened---sometimes there are delays. No worries....they will be first to go through in this division, so it should happen early next week. It will NOT happen tonight or tomorrow night. They do not do them on Fri/Sat nights.
