DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Amy: So, glad your SR is doing well and have passed her PFA's. Sorry to hear about your family in the hospital. I will pray for them and you. I bet it was hard to keep an upbeat tone while talking to your SR. We are so close to seeing our SRs.

I was so happy to get a call from my SR yesterday but it was hard to maintain my composure as when she called I was sitting in the ICU waiting room of a regional trauma center because we know have to people that she loves very much both in a coma and with very slim chances of recovery. It was so hard to keep a smile in my voice while talking to her because I don't want her to know what is going on until I can tell her in person.

It was great to hear that she passed her tests and especially the PFA's because she was worried about the running because last time she missed it by over 2 minutes. This time she passed by 42 seconds.

Will pray for those still trying to pass the PFA's.

Ladies in one week we will get to see our SR's!!! Cant wait! Happy Dance.

Prayers for all those still struggling. Prayers from one person works, but prayers from many works even better. Love that we have such awesome praying families on here.

Hi SvetikShip03Div262, I also received that phone call from my son (div 260) He also did not pass his run by 35 seconds and will try again on Monday Morning. Did your son get moved to a new ship..All you can do at this point is PRAY and encourage!!! I will also pray for your son...Hang in there..they can do this!!!!!!!

Good Morning All !

Svetik:  Just remember....if he doesn't pass the run by Wed (and I agree with CatMom...10 seconds is nothing for them...I think he will do it!) --he is not out of the Navy.  In that case, he would stay in the FIT DIVISION and keep trying 3 times a week as long as he is improving.  He would then pass, do BattleStations, and head straight to A School, no PIR in that case.  Once he passes his own PIR, he wouldn't have PIR.  But we aren't thinking negatively!  He will have those wings on his feet!  :-)

Svetik, Angels wings and swift feet for your son. A prayer his way!
