Good Evening Everyone!

Well, we are in the home stretch now....not many days left.  Don't you all feel like the PIR is our graduation, too?  Look all we have been through together!  One more hurdle and we are in.  I have my blue candle burning as a sign of support for this training group as the remaining divisions go through battle stations.

It has been quiet here lately.  I suppose everyone is getting the last letter out, packing, and making final arrangements for the end of the week.

A col front came in last night.  It went down to the low 70's here.  It sure was nice to sleep with the windows open again.  There is a great breeze off Lake Michigan and tonight's low in the Waukegan/Great Lakes area is 60.  Wonderful!!!

Take care.

HI Fancy Nancy... Yes very quiet.. Ive already packed my suitcae. haa I over packed, I always do.
Has anyone been successful in locationg our Pre Buds Group yet.. I thought someone said 298,, But the Groups on the Pre Buds page stops at 297.. thanks..

Hi Ladies!
Looks like I was one of the lucky ones who got a call over the weekend. I was told that Our boys got 1st place in captains cup, and we're also voted as the best division or something by the RDCs! They also got to spend an extra hour after captains cup playing basketball and volleyball against eachother. My boyfriend really enjoyed it because he said this was the first time they were doing anything physical and they could yell at eachother to motivate the team! Sounds like they had a great day!!

This is great news to wake up to, JessicaM.  I imagine the guys really enjoyed the "play time."  I heard that they are a very cohesive group and this must make them even more supportive of each other.

Yes, yes, Selaine6....I can hardly wait, too.  I am using my nervous energy to get some extra cleaning done around the house!

Thank you both for starting my day on a happier note!

Jessica M

How wonderful to hear!! So glad that they are doing so well!! and thrilled you got a phone call to let us know!! Looking forward to seeing all of you in a few days!! Hooyah!!

816 did it!  Just got the call and everyone passed!

Congratulations everyone!

Hooray, got a call as well!  yes they have been up since Sunday night!  Said they had tacos today... hooray!  Also said they will arrive at BUDS on Ocotober 1st?  not sure how this lines up with only 4 weeks of Pre-buds??  They have an awesome division!  Won Captains Cup! and best in their Division!  pretty tired and looking forward to seeing us on Friday!

Congrats to all sailors 816

I'm so happy. It was the greatest feeling in the world hearing my son's happy voice on the phone. He said he wants to buy good running shoes. I know I read some posts on here regarding locations to purchase shoes. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Either remind me where I saw the discussions or give me the names of the stores? Please. Thank you!!! Yay, I'm so excited to see my SAILOR! Oh, and he's asked me to take him underwear, 2 t-shirts, and 1 of his shorts. Is that going to be okay? I'd hate to pack it and have to bring it back with me.
