Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 936

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Trying to gather more info from moms in this division.  Heard they earned their scholastic flag. Yay! Also heard he didn't think he would be calling this week because they were going to be extremely busy.  Sounded a little concerned about the physical fitness test.  Any other info from your SR's?

Hi - I heard from my son last Sunday and then again this past Friday.  He said things were good, he just seemed very tired!  He said he had done 2 overnight watches during the week.  Definitely sleep deprived!  Counting the days!

Heard from mine on Friday!  Was quite surprised -- love hearing from him.  He sounded tired, but in extremely good spirits.  He also stated that he still feels that this was the best decision that he has made in his life so far!!!! I am so happy and proud of him. He didn't think that there would be anymore calls until after Battlestations.  I hope that I am stating this correctly, but my son is the Guidon Bearer and beleive that he will be the first in line for flag presentation at the ceremony.  So excited for all of our recruits and their experiences.  I will be starting to watch PIR ceremonies the 3 weeks prior to ours so that I get to see him before we get there!!!!

Sounds like I got about the same information from my son as well on Friday. He said they are doing good. Getting better as a div and looking forward to learning more hands on in the coming weeks.

Good afternoon! I'm counting down the days, watched my SR in the live PIR today, and also received a letter!  God is good!!

My son has asked me to reach out to a friend of his Mom's.  I'm not sure she is on Navy Mom's, but if there is a Mom out there, named Cindy, with a son named Joe, could you please inbox me.  I would love to chat with you!  My son says Joe would like for me to get in touch with you if possible.  Thx,  Tracy

Hi there, I am new to this and very excited to see my son soon.  He has a friend from S Virginia named Kelly.  Does that sound familiar to any one?  I received another letter and hope you all did too!  God is good!!

I also heard that if f your SR is a recipient of Honor Recruit / Awards your call may come later due to practice ceremony rehearsals.

I'm sorry, I probably should know this.  What is the PFA?

Hi Judi,

I am on this.  I believe if you type in the search box, 900 Division - Great Lakes, IL - US Navy it should come up.  And then you can join this group.  I find its very easy.  Tracy

Yes! 900 division Facebook group is great! They post all kinds if pics from the PIRs and good info on 900 group duties too :)

Peter's mom, PFA stands for Physical Fitness Assessment. Today is 936's final one. They need to pass in order to graduate on time. They have been doing practice PFAs throughout BC. The test is comprised of things like sit up and pull up count and a time 1.5 mile run.

I have removed Battlestations information. I'm getting conflicting info on what I can share. So I will not share anything except in private message going forward. I just knew the other new mom's would like to know. I was thrilled to finally have a date. Sorry.
