My husband is in the same!! Nice to meet you!! Do you plan to visit Graduation??
Hello.  Nice to meet you, too.  My son is there, he is 20.  I will be attending graduation :)  Are you?  We will be arriving on Thursday, July 21st and departing on Monday, July 25th.  What rate is your husband?  My son is AECF, unless it changes to Nuke.  His recruiter told him it was a possibility.
My husband is 29 - His birthday is two days after graduation! Yes, we plan to attend and I'm very excited! We plan to drive kind of leisurely starting Wednesday the 20th and then I guess we'll leave depending on when we leaves for A school.  He is Aviation Support Technician.
Ship 02 Div 936...they are making calls right now!!!  My son called his fiance!

Just got our first phone call from our SR.  Said the food is great.  Passed his swim test. Working on improving his running.  They were up all night doing a writting assignment but it was worth it because they got to make their phone calls.  Sounds tired but great.  I was confused because I had read that 900 divisions were for the band and chior, etc.  He told me it is that but that the Nine Three Six is a staff divisions.  They will get their jobs next week but they basically work the PIR's, sounded excited about it!  They are a all male division.  Said that having only five divisions (usually up to fourteen) at Our PIR should make it faster and maybe we will have more time with them.  I got the best birthday present a day early....it was so great talking to him.  He said he also wrote earlier today so I'll get my first letter soon!  I hope you all get your long awaited for calls today, that your SR's sound as good as mine did, and a letter soon too.  It really made a difference just hearing his voice!

hey, here you are!  my son is there, he is 23, and i miss him terribly! he got to call today, but spent most of the time talking to his girlfriend, but its ok, i got to hear his voice, which made me feel better. hope to see everyone at PIR!
My son is in the 936 division.  He also got to call yesterday!  It was great to talk to him!  He told us a lot of the same that Terry's proud mom said!  It was so great to talk to him!  My son had also called his fiance yesterday.  My son is planning to go Nuke after basic also.  He just sounded like he has a hoarse voice.  He referred a lot to 'I told you about that in my letter'  so I am still looking forward to recieving the letter from him.  It was so great to answer the phone and hear: Sailor recruit here.

How long was your SR there before you got your first phone call, when did they leave for bc?

my son left May 25, so just shy of 3 weeks.  he said letters were just now being mailed out... so looking forward to the mail this week.
my fiance left may 25 in his 3rd week
5 more weeks!!!  Who is going to PIR?  Where are you staying?
My boyfriend is in this one!! He called me on Sunday. It was sooo good to hear from him. When does the Nuc School leave out? I had a hard day the night before and when I answered the phone I cried and he did too. We have only been together a month before he left. I miss him alot. I am sooo proud of him.
