AMEN. As it should be. Wives are a HUGE motivation for a man to do ANYTHING! A wife is more dear to him than his own life. Good attitude and right thinking! (I'm sorry the BF is not the Sailor-the GF is! LOL)

Just FYI-When your Sailors leave RTC...they must be with a "sponsor" so to speak at all times. They may not be anywhere alone. This is what my Sailor told me when I was with him.

The PIR Information Group is a good one to start poking around. Go to the main group page and it will be at the very top with a few others. Check the dates of the posts you read though...some of it is out dated...such as I read,"...liberty ends at 9 PM on Fridays and Saturdays and 8 PM on Sundays." My Sailors was different every night.

Your Sailor will be DRILLED in exactly what he/she can and cannot do. And they will rememeber it. They can still get in trouble after PIR for breaking the rules. Their are etiquette, dress, time etc. rules.

PIR Info has all that and please feel free to ask here too.

aww i dont want my SR to walk it he told me that I am his motivation for being there and what he is doing is for us to have a better future. I dont want him to work or have to do something like that the night he gets to relax....

It's about 2.5 miles. The reason I know this is because one lady asked if her SR BF could walk it. I said, Yes he CAN, but does he want too?!"

He may have, as I believe he was going to propose!

dianne can tell you more about taki's than I can. I will try to save the info for future use once she posts. She will probably back on bright and early!

Yes, you will need a gate pass for when you return your Sailor back to RTC at night, and for any other day you come on to the base. Each day I had to show it going in to pick him up and then again when I returned him. Also have your Gov Id ready. Your Sailor should have his Mil ID ready too. They want to see it ALL each time.

I think you have to make arrangements for returning your Sailor (car, taxi) as I do not know if the shuttles run again at night.
