Ok ladies and gents - I have started a group for Ship 12 Div. 231 PIR 7/22/11.  Ya'll search for that group and we can all post our communications with this divisions group.  I would like to know when everyone plans to arrive in Great Lakes for PIR.  My family is going to get into town on Wednesday 7/20.  I know this is early - but have read stories about cancelled flights - that were unable to make connections to arrive in time for ceremony.  Not gonna happen to me! :)  Cannot miss this one.

CAITLYNBENCARMEN: Hi yes my son is on Ship 02-Div936.  There at least four of in this group with loved ones.  I am working on having a garage sale tomorrow will try to write tomorrow...Welcome to the group!  I have a case of the GOOD the BAD and the Uglies tonight.  GOOD got our room a the Ramada booked & reserved the rental car at Midway today.  Already had our airline reservations and a booking for Lucy at the Doggie Hotel...All set I think.  The BAD: Still no letter from my SR and no call :-(  The Ugly when stood at the mailbox and cried and saw my next door neighbor looking at me!  He's X Navy and X Army (weird huh) and he gave me a pouty face and a wave....I know he was afraid the darn tear dam would burst if he talked to me.  Got to get back to pricing for the garage sale....have to get up at 5am.  Just found out from my sister-in-law that she was having it at 7pm tonight!

FIRETEAMLEADERWIFE,  Ninja's are black so if they wear sheet they should be "ghosts"... lol.  The picture in my mind of the Sharks swimming....another lol.  Too bad there are no cameras "onboard" I can't wait for the stories.  My Dad is a WWII Vet, wounded and a POW, but all these years later he and a buddy (who passed away last year, and dad misses him so much) still have Army boot camp stories that are so funny they make your side hurt from laughing.  There were five of them together in boot camp that ended up deployed together.  Only two came home, they got separated when my dad was injured....but were from the same state and connected again after the war.  A lifetime buddy, Dad said he felt closer to George than he was to his own brothers.  I hope our SR's never have to go through what my Dad did, but I also hope they will make some lifetime friendships.
