Hi Donna.
When you get a chance can you please add the TG and Divisions to the Group Title? ;-)
Here is a suggested "look".

PIR 07/22/11 TG 36 — 05 Divisions (231–234 & 936)

Then you ladies can start discussions for your individual SHIP/DIV under "Discussion Forums". Here is an example of how to title the discussion.

Simply:

SHIP ##/ DIV ### (you can add the PIR date or whatever you want to it! It's your discussion group!)

Then we recommend that you add your SR's SHIP/DIV to the end of your Navy4Moms name. You can always change it again later! I've kept mine.

My son will be a Construction Mechanic (CM).  He wanted other positions in the Seabees but his DEP date was coming near so he accepted the CM job.  Even though he wanted a different job he seemed happy about his decission.  Any one else in PIR 7/22/11 who has a son/daughter/spouse going to A school at Port Hueneme?

Comment by Terry'saproudmom(Ship02-Div936) on June 7, 2011 at 12:36am

His A school is going to be in Port Hueneme, California...I got lucky there...he'll only be one county away.

Hi my name is Terry and I am new to this.  I live in California.  My son's PIR date is 7/22/11 he is on Ship 02  Div 396.  I dropped him off at his recruiter's office on 5/24, his 24th birthday.  He left MEPS for RTC on May 25th.  Have received his "box" and the form letter.  I am afraid to start making flight and hotel reservations until I know if he is a Grad-n-go.  Does anyone know if all the sailors get the whole weekend (although I know they have to be back to RTC by 2100) to spend with their families?  It seemed the "form letter" said grad and go's don't get the weekend leave.  Is leave for three days, Fri, Sat, Sunday?  I am retired buy my husband has to get leave from work. Any info from past PIR moms of both general grads and grad n go's that knows how the weekend plays out would help me greatly. Thanks in advance

...Betsy is correct.  Most of BattleStations will be during PIR week...however, they usually start the first night of them (2-4 divisions go at once) the week before (usually Thurs night/Fri morning) and then don't go again until Sun night or later. As it gets closer to the time, we will be having you ask your SRs for their division's date and will get a schedule posted.

UFQ202, BS will most likely begin following the Captain's Cup competition, which is normally held the Saturday prior to PIR.  BS will start in the final week of boot camp.

When will battlestation be? I know I read it on here but can't remember. It seems better seeing the PIR date and knowing I get to hug my favorite sailor soon.
