NewNavyWife: You can still do those things later when he may be more open to the idea.  You can talk to him again...maybe when he finishes his schooling.  Time is on your side.

There are a lot of civilians working on the base here to . I have looked for part time jobs I still am searching everyday. I need someone to help me look up a good online school then wherever his fleet Im not sure if I want to go to school on campus. I want to take my general ed aka associates just to get a feel. I have always been a nerd lol I graduated high school early so I could grad with my husband lol Um thats why I was interested in joining the NROTC OR AROTC but my husband says he wants me to just to go to regular school.

NewNavyWife:  Oh to be 18 again...I'm 41 years older.  Your whole life is in front of you.  Maybe you will find a job on base.  My son says there are mostly civilians working at his.  Is your husband planning to be career Navy? Can you afford to work part time and go to school part time?  Many colleges have on-line classes so that you could do them no matter where he is stationed.  Or it might be nice to go to school at a campus so that you can make some friends.  If you don't know what you want to do as a career that's okay you're young.  Just start with your required classes and then as you go along you will probably find an interest to follow.  My older son went to USC and entered wanting to do Psycology.  Now he just grad. Law School and taking the Cal. Bar  he wants to go into politics...so it is very okay to change directions.

I read to him what you wrote and he said ys he does need me to be there for him and he doesnt want me to end up having to worry about my deployments. He just wants me here . He wants to come home. Ive always been a person though that when I want to do something I do it so its hard to just let go of it but for him I will. Thank you for your opinion I needed someone to help me that why I love this website because everyone helps eachother

NewNavyWife:  I believe you have to make your own decision but MUST consider his feelings.  I see lots of decussions in your future.  How badly do you want to do this?  It will be hard on your marriage but still do-able.  Many couples make it work, I believe there is a group here for dual military couples you might want to talk to them.  It does sound like your husband is against it for now.  He may really need you to be supportive of him and know that you are there for him and not having to worry about your deployments.  What are you doing now...I mean, working, school?
